At the very top of Antalya lies a wooded area which is well worth the trip up the foothills where the Kursunlu Waterfalls thunder into the waters below. There are footpaths that allow visitors to trek up to the top of the waterfall and experience the entire natural scene from atop.
The Kursunlu Waterfalls are one of the very few waterfalls in the world that fall directly into the sea. The drop is about twenty five meters long and creates a noisy spectacle. It affects the human senses in so many ways. The natural freshness of the area is magnetic and people often spend much longer time here than planned.
It is easy to spot animal and fish life here. There are fish, tortoises and sea snakes in the water. There are also little forest animals that run and hide in the green overgrowths. Although the waterfalls are not as famous as the others in Antalya, it is definitely well worth the visit if there is spare time in the city.
Little shops and coffee shops are also within the park. A bus trip from the center of Antalya will take you here at the price of two Turkish Lira. The park is very well kept and as beautiful as the rest of the natural surroundings. It is ideal for an outdoor picnic.
