Harbour District/ Antalya Marina
The Antalya Marina that lies by the harbour is definitely worth the effort when visiting. Descending with steep stone steps into the very bottom of the marine is where the fishing boats and fishermen make their daily living. It is also here where the gullets dock and yacht owners show off their prides of the sea.
The Antalya Marina has many coffee shops and cafeterias where they serve traditional small meals. Little shops that sell all kinds of souvenirs, Turkish crafts, spices and daily commodities are also scattered here. The narrow old streets curve and lead you to the very end of the marina where the view of Antalya is breathtaking.
From the Antalya Marina you can take a forty five minute boat trip around the bay. You can manage to negotiate the price of the boat trip down on any day. The waters are sparkling blue and you can often spots large fish racing the boats. There is even an Pirate Ship that gets a lot of attraction from visitors.
The Harbour District is the perfect place for people watching. There are more locals than tourists, wich makes it even more attractive. Eating seafood here is also highly recommended. There are toilet facilities, and can be used at a fee of one Turkish Lira.
