Luxor Sound and Light Show
The concept of Sound and Light shows in Egypt has been very successful and once again, the Luxor Temple gets light up with the story being told. The gigantic size of the temple comes to life while its history is being narrated.
This show is slightly different from the one at the Pyramids as one does not sit during the tour. One actually enjoys a walking tour through the complex. The story goes about building the temple using symbolism, as well as the history that followed. The shadowy columns contribute to the mystifying atmosphere while walking through the darkness.
The temple is darkened except for the colored lights that reflect on the walls and statues while the story is being told. When looking across the Nile towards the Valley of the Kings, one can see the lights on the hills, which means he embalmers are at work.
The show lasts about half an hour and the narration is by Judy Dench and yet again a Sound and Light Show that both adults and children will enjoy.
