In the morning our agent will meet you at your cruise boat in Safaga and take you for a three-hour-long drive by a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle heading to 4,000-year-old Luxor. First, you will visit the Karnak Temple Complex, a vast area of temples, chapels and pylons. Its construction began in the Middle Kingdom (2000-1700 BC), though the majority of the existing buildings date back to the New Kingdom (1500-1000 BC). The complex is housing the Great Hypostyle Hall with its giant 134 columns, which are 23 meters in height and 15 meters in circumference! After lunch you will move to the West Bank, where you can see the Colossi of Memnon and the Valley of the Kings with its ancient beautifully decorated tombs and chambers. You will move to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut in the Valley of the Queens. You will then head to a local restaurant and have your lunch. Around 6:00 pm you will be taken back to Safaga.
