Day 1 (18th February / October - Cairo)
Welcome to Cairo, the second largest city on the African continent! Our representative will meet you and provide assistance with custom procedures at Cairo International Airport. You will be then comfortably transferred to your hotel. The evening is at your disposal. Overnight at the hotel. (No meals included)
Day 2 (19th February / October - Cairo)
Get ready for the exciting discoveries in this city of dreams. Your aquantance with Egypt will start at Giza from the Great Pyramid of Cheops. For over 3,800 years it was the tallest man-made structure in the world. The pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure complete the colossal trio, the only surviving to our days WOndere of the Ancient World. The Great Sphinx located near by watches and guards the burials of three Egyptian Pharoahs. From Giza you will move to Saqqara to witness the first pyramid built by Ancient Egyptians. The Step Pyramid of Djoser was constructed in 2648 BC. Overnight atyour hotel. (B)
Day 3 ( 20th February / October - Cairo)
Frenetic, bustling with numerous bazaars and traffic chaos, labyrinths, narrow streets and quiet corners, Cairo attracts with its centuries-old edifices that stand ennobled. It has everything you could want from an ancient country. The Egyptian Museum is the best proof for that. Its 107 halls exhibit some 150,000 artifacts that tell you the history of 5,000 years. Here you will find the largest collection of pharaonic antiquities, including Tutankhamun’s fabulously famous ten-kilogram golden mask and throne, jewelry and precious metal coins, grand statutes and tiny figurines. Then you will be guided to the city’s Islamic areas to see the Citadel of Saladdin and its alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali. This holy place is set at the highest hill of Cairo, so you’ll be able to view a remarkable panorama of the city. Escorted shopping trip to Khan el Khalili bazaar will follow the sightseeing; here you will find locals not only shopping but drinking tea and smoking traditional shisha.Overnight at your hotel. (B)
Day 4 ( 21st February / October - Cairo to Aswan)
The morning begins with a short flight to Aswan. Freshen up at your hotel. Aswan tour will start with High Dam, then in vivid contrast, take a short ferry across the Nile to the magnificent Ancient Egyptian Philae Temple. To end the day, a traditional felucca will sail you to tusk-shaped Elephantine Island and botanical Kitchener Island. Feel free to explore Aswan’s renowned markets or visit the International Museum of Nubia. Overnight at your hotel. (B)
Day 5 (22nd February / October - Aswan to Abu Simbel Sun Festival)
At 2 am this morning, join your convoy drive to the Great Temples of Abu Simbel. Here, take your place to witness the extraordinarily rare sun illumination of the statue of Ramses II and his sun gods Re-Horakhte and Amon-Re. Later, further explore the 13th-century- BC Temples of Abu Simbel and Hathor — also known as the Temple of Queen Nefertari. Return to Aswan for well-earned relaxation. Overnight at your hotel. (B)
Day 6 (23rd February / October - Aswan to Luxor)
Early departure from Aswan in an air-conditioned vehicle; break your journey at the ‘double’ Temple of Kom Ombo; and in Edfu, the remarkably well-preserved Temple of Horus. Welcome to Luxor on the east bank of the Nile. Overnight at your hotel. (B)
Day 7 (24th February / October - Luxor)
A free morning in Luxor. Your afternoon venture starts at the East Bank of Luxor. Here, you will enter the Karnak Temple Complex — a vast area of temples, chapels, pylons and the Great Temple of Amun. You will walk down the avenue of ram-headed sphinxes that connect the Precinct of Mut, the Precinct of Amun-Ra and the Luxor Temple. This afternoon you will have free time; perhaps a visit to the Luxor Museum or do some bartering in a souk. Overnight at your hotel.(B)
Day 8 (25th February / October - Luxor to Cairo)
Early morning an optional hot-air balloon trip over Luxor . Awake in 4,000 year-old Luxor, evocative site of the ancient city of Thebes and ‘the world’s greatest open-air museum’. As you enter the Valleys of the Kings and Queens, you will pass Deir El Madina, Madinet Habou and the Colossi of Memnon. The tombs are not all accessible by wheelchair, but the tombs of Ramses IV, VII and IX have ramps. Visit the colonnaded temple that was uniquely dedicated to a queen — Queen Hatshepsut. Fly to Cairo this evening. Overnight at your hotel. (B)
Day 9 (26th February / October - Cairo)
Transfer to Cairo Airport for your departure from Egypt. (B)
