Day 1 (Sharm El Sheikh–Cairo)
Lady Egypt representative will pick you up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh and transfer to Sharm El Sheikh International Airport for a domestic flight to Cairo, where your guide will meet and get you to Saqqara to see the 63-meter-high Step Pyramid of Djoser; the construction of the first Egyptian pyramid was completed in 2648 BC. Head to Memphis, Egypt’s capital during the Old Kingdom. In this open-air museum you will find the Statue of Ramses II, remains of the Palace of Apries, alabaster Sphinx and ruins of the Temple of Hathor. The next stop is at Giza, home for the world's most famous Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure. The mythical creature with the body of a lion and a human head is adjacent to the pyramids. The Great Sphinx that represents the face of the Pharaoh Khafre is the largest monolith statue in the world. Move to Khafre’s Valley Temple used for mummification of the Pharaoh. It was built in the late 26th century BC and buried in the sands until the AD 19th century. Have your lunch in one of the best restaurants in Cairo and overnight at the hotel. (L)
 
Day 2 (CairoSharm EL Sheikh)
After breakfast your guide will lead you to the Egyptian Museum. Its 107 halls exhibit some 150,000 artifacts that tell you the history of 5,000 years of ancient civilization. Here you will find the largest collection of pharaonic antiquities, including Tutankhamun’s fabulously famous ten-kilogram golden mask and throne, jewelry and precious metal coins, grand statutes and tiny figurines. Your guide will then escort you to the Citadel of Saladin erected on the Mokattam Hill between 1176 and 1183 and fortified in order to protect it from the Crusaders. In 1828-1848 within the walls of the citadel was built an Ottoman mosque, which today is widely known as Mosque of Mohammed Ali. Move to Coptic Cairo to explore the oldest Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt and then head to the colorful and exotic Khan El Khalili Souk before flying back to Sharm EL Sheikh. (B)
