This tour is all about pyramids. Visit the three most famous true pyramids at Giza along with the bent and step pyramids at Dahshur and Saqqara. See with your own eyes the architectural progress of Ancient Egyptians.

Highlights Of This Itinerary:
Dahshur, Saqqara, the Pyramids of Giza, the Valley Temple, the Great Sphinx

An early start for a great day will make it even greater, so be ready by 7:00 am to leave your hotel, as our driver and guide will be waiting for you. At first you will head to Dahshur, which lies 40 kilometers south of Cairo. Here you will visit two pyramids built by Pharaoh Sneferu between 2613-2589 BC. The 101-meter-tall Bent Pyramid is a unique example of early pyramid development in Egypt – its lower part rises from the desert at a 54-degree inclination and goes to a shallower angle of 43 degrees at top, which gives it an obvious “bent” appearance.
However, the 43-degree inclination of the adjacent Red Pyramid, built by Sneferu immediately afterwards, is preserved from its base to top. You will have lunch before proceeding to Saqqara, where the 63-meter-high Step Pyramid of Djoser is located. The construction of the first Egyptian pyramid was completed in 2648 BC.  Finally, the most impressive and the best known – the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure located at Giza. After you visit the Valley Temple of Khafre, you’ll move to see the Great Sphinx and drive back to your hotel. (L)
