In the morning our guide will take you from your hotel to the Egyptian Museum, where some 150,000 artifacts are on display. Here you will find the most extensive collection of Pharaonic antiquities, including Tutankhamun’s fabulously famous ten-kilogram golden mask and throne, jewelry and precious metal coins, grand statutes and tiny figurines. Your lunch will be served at a local restaurant before heading to Islamic Cairo. The Citadel of Saladin and its alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali are the main highlights of the district. The colorful Khan El Khalili Souk will be your next stop. Once in Cairo you can’t miss its oldest area –Coptic. Your guide will escort you to El Muallaqa, the Hanging Church, built into the walls of the Roman fortress of Babylon. You will then proceed to 19-century Ben Ezra Synagogue, Saint Barbara Church and Abu Serga Church. Lunch will be served at a local resturaunt.
