Day 2 (Pyramids, Memphis & Sakkara )

Today you will explore Egypt’s main highlight – the Great Pyramid of Giza. For over 3,800 years Khufu’s Pyramid was considered the tallest manmade structure in the world. Our expert guide will give a talk about the Pyramids and the Sphinx, Solar Boat and then take you to Memphis & Saqqara, where you will see the first pyramid built in Egypt – the Step Pyramid of Djoser constructed in 2648 BC. Perfect time for trying Egyptian Food, lunch to be served at a local restaurant.  Transfer to train station for an interesting ride to Aswan on board sleeper train.

Day 3 (Philea Temple - High Dam )

Enjoy breakfast on borad train and upon arrival to Aswan will take you for a short sail across the river will bring you to the Agilkia Island, where the Philae Temple dedicated to the Goddess Isis is currently located.  Originally, the temple was situated near the First Cataract of the Nile River, though in 1902 when the construction of the Old Aswan Dam started, the area was flooded and the complex was moved. Proceed to the Old Dam built in 1899-1902 and then visit the masterpiece of modern Engineering – the High Dam constructed between 1960-1970 in order to protect the city from floods, generate hydroelectricity and irrigate agricultural fields. Go exploring Aswan's famous markets in the evening.

Optional trip to the majestic Abu Simbel Temples by bus, located some 300 kilometers away from Aswan. The temples are constructed in commemoration of Ramesses II tactical victory at the Battle of Kadesh that took place in 1274 BC. 

Sail to Kom Ombo, Visit temple of Kom Ombo, which was dedicated mainly to Sobek and Horus; however, some of their family members were part of the temple’s dedication as well. The Southern portion of the temple was not just dedicated to Sobek, the god of fertility, but also to Hathor, the goddess of love and joy, and Khonsu, the god of the moon.

Visit Horus Temple located on the West bank of the Nile in Edfu, an incredibly well-preserved monument to one of Ancient Egypt’s most important deities, Horus worshipped as the child of Isis and Osiris, Horus was depicted with the head - and often the body - of a falcon and was the ruler of the skies and the deity of the pharaohs. Sail to Luxor.  Night visit to Luxor Temple

Before it gets so sunny;  you might like to take an adventure of watching over Luxor passing by green villages , Over the Nile , watching the old schools in a HOTAIR BALOON ! This optional tour could be arranged early in the morning.

Get up early in the morning to avoid the noontide heat of the West Bank. Disembark the cruise ship and head to the Valley of the Kings with its numerous tombs and chambers. Only fifteen tombs out of 63 are open for public, among them are those granted to Tutankhamun, Thutmose III, Ramesses I and Seti II.
You will pass by the village of ancient workers at Deir El Madina, the Temple of Madinet Habou dedicated to Ramesses III and massive twin statues depicting the Pharaoh Amenhotep III widely known as the Colossi of Memnon. Move to the Valley of the Queens to explore the colonnaded Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, where you can learn the tale of the divine birth of the first female king

That's not all for today ; we still have an included visit of Karnak Temple Complex, time for relaxation before the trip back to Cairo on board sleeper train.

Breakfast on board train; arrival Cairo and enjoy a full day city tour in Cairo, starting with “Egyptian Museum” on the visits that should never be missed in Egypt where you can watch more than 250’000 piece,, then exploring the house which tells more than a story “Gayer Anderson Museum” is named for an early-20th century British doctor, John Gayer-Anderson, who restored the two 16th-century buildings that now house the museum collection. Gayer-Anderson decorated the rooms in a variety of Oriental styles and filled them with objects from his travels. In addition to objects from Iran and Turkey, he also has Egyptian (both ancient and historic) items, as well as a collection of paintings and drawings done by 20th century artists. The building, with its wooden mashrabiya (screened windows), is also known for being a set for the James Bond movie The Spy Who Loved Me. Visit of “El Sehemy House” the old Ottoman era house museum in Cairo, Egypt. It was originally built in 1648 by Abdel Wahab el Tablawy along the Darb al-Asfar, a very prestigious and expensive part of Medieval Cairo.
Moving onward to Salah El Din Citadel, “Situated on a spur that was artificially cut out of the Muqattam Hills, the Citadel dominates the city of Cairo and turns its’  back to the rocky hills and the desert behind. Founded by Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Free time at Khan El Khalili Bazaar where you can get all types of souvenir and explore that unique character of that Egyptian Oldest Market, visit of El Khyamya “Tent Makers”, you might love to try Egyptian tattoos “Henna”. Transfer back to hotel for overnight.
